I had a very bad experience with Angel-in-us couple years ago.  I told the barista that the cappuccino sucked (not literally) and I was told to just drink it for what it is.  That's what I get for being a customer and speaking my mind.  I had a fit with him and since then avoided Angel-whatever coffee chain.

The best tiramisu in Seoul - Bistecca (restaurant) in Yongsan-gu

Thank you for asking - because we can proudly say that Bistecca (restaurant) in Yongsan-gu has the most authentic tiramisu I've had in the city.

Yes, it's an Italian restaurant.  YES, they DO have the best tiramisu in Seoul!

It tastes like what my Italy-residing relatives would make, except not as nearly heavy on the liquor side~^^

C&B cafe in Itaewon - Croissant sandwich, soup & dessert

This cafe was a nice surprise.  It's hidden away from the main street of Itaewon.  This doesn't suit the typical "Itaewon style" and has the cutest decor and food.

McDonald's - Seoul Finance Center Mall (Youido)

 I don't hate on McD's as I used to.  I can't believe I stayed away from meat as long as I did, but I've come to respect what my body wants (but with moderaton...).  There are days when I just want a good old cheeseburger with a chocolate sundae (my combo).

11-11 is Pepero day!!

Today is 11-11!  it's Pepero day!
It's a day when you give Pepero to friends/colleagues/loved ones.

The reason why 11-11 is Pepero day is quite simple...  It's because all the 1s(1111) stands for pepero sticks!

Students love this day.  They can exchange Peperos with friends and gift them to their teachers and even their crushes~  It's like a semi Valentines day.

It gets pretty serious in the grocery stores. The weeks before 11-11, stores will have a whole section dedicated to specially packaged Peperos in gigantic boxes, ribbons and anything to make the ordinary Pepero look out of the ordinary!  Some can be small, but most of the items are massively big...

Migo - bakery @ Shinsegae department store

Shinsegae department store (kangnam branch) has great selections for pastry, bread, cakes, and sweets.  They have the sweetest selection for desserts.  Migo is one of the bakeries there.  They have a decent selection of small individual cakes great for dessert on the spot (take it to another coffee place around the area if u want coffee with it, no problem!) or to take home with you.  They put it away nicely for you in a cute to go box since you can't really eat it there anyway.  There are many other sweet shops on the lower floor as well where the food court is located.

Berry ice cream & waffles - Moss Cafe

Waffles with ice cream is one of my favorite cafe eats!  You can definitely make a lot of sense of the cafe as a whole in this one dish.  Any cafe that boasts this plate should be able to "wow" it.
