everyone was off, except me. i had to go to work bc i work for a private academy..booboo.. so i was dreading to go to work today.. you know, it's sunny out and id rather play!! but i only had to work for 2 hrs, so surely it wouldn't be bad. and it wasn't bad at all, not a bit painful, but enjoyable! i havent felt so good about working for a long long time (it's a good thing bc i havent worked for half a year?). maybe bc i only worked for 2 hrs today (and it's only my second day), but i got off work feeling really great! lalala~ like i have it all~
after work and dinner at home, we went for a stroll and picked up an ICED CARAMEL CAFE MOCHA to satisfy our sugar crave (well, really my craving) at this coffee stand called STANDING COFFEE! (how appropriate - well, it really is a to-go coffee place) really good coffee! we're becoming quiet coffee snobs for our worth :P but if you want coffee there, you have to be patient. they don't give a hoot about how long the line is, they take their sweet time making coffee the right way :P you can watch them make your coffee in front of you (no hiding behind - it's on a side - so you see everything!) it's nice to see how it's made and how much milk those sweet ones have!! maybe im not really lactose intolerant after all..^^

ajumma!! so kind..^^
funniest thing happened tonight! our landlord lady, aka, "ajumma", knocked on our door and handed us two bags of fruits and vegetables, from potatoes, mushroom, spinach, zucchini, apples, melons!!! she said something like "oh i think you cook banchan a lot..so here..come and ask for anything if you need more.".. ^___^ ahh, she's sooo nice. just earlier this week, she handed andrew a WATERMELON too! and we haven't even touched it, it's just so big for the two of us^^
she reminds me of this cartoon character from my favorite cartoon called ATASHINCHI. a very jolly happy kind funny ajumma :) gamsahamnida~

seoul world cup stadium
ive only seen soccer action on tv, so to finally see my favorite sport of all time LIVE.. was an experience ill never forget!!
the game started at 7:00pm, but we arrived at the gate at 4:30ish to make sure we got there early and maybe get lucky and get an autograph?! i did bring a permanent marker just in case~
the stadium is huge outside.. almost got lost finding our gate and entrance.. but found it eventually after being lost for 10mins. prior to going in, we had our bags checked and stuff for security.
and a big banner of the game :) so exciting! it's a friendly match between the two.
we got to another entrance and showed our tickets and finally IN IN IN the stadium!!! we were both awed by the view and stadium..because for a second, i think we both thought we were in OLD TRAFFORD (Manchester United's).. hehe.. the red.. and the view going in the stadium was really breath taking.. we were so excited.
a friendly ajoshi w his lil girl took our photo voluntarily. see koreans can be nice~ jk jk.. (but really, i feel like the new generation of koreans - even some ajoshis are more pleasant these days)
just look at the view... we were probably the first 10 people to get in the stadium!! literally was near empty. we had ROW 14 - seat 17&18. looking for our seats..we realized we were actually on the first section of the benches!! woohoo!! 14 rows from the front! we were closer than we hoped :D yay!
ahh~ it's nice~ high five~
i havent felt this touristy(?) and anxious about something since we were out of the country! oooh, so so looking forward to the game.
what perfect weather!... perfect just perfect indeed. i brought my sweater with me and actually wore it until the middle of the game bc i started getting sweaty from all the action.

hey camera! camera testing. we were almost 2.5 hrs early and preparations were heavy and serious.
for the silly. a lil make belief that we're in old trafford.. :P
EAT TIME!! yum yums were right down the hall. andrew got us a lunch box of kimbap and sandwiches.
delightfully good!!

what's a game without mekju!!? yumyum.
ACKS!!! far away on the other side, we see!!! i think those are them!!?! in their training gear?! could it be? could JISUNG be there?! wish we were on that side.. they looked around and went in after few mins.
at least the cutest mascot to turn our frowns upside down appeared at the very right moment!! :P he waved and danced and jiggled to the cutest ways! here he is going around welcoming everyone^^

tora b - cutest cafe in Hongdae
tora b~~~ i heard a lot of good stuff about this cafe in hongdae~ and yes, it's in that alley way where all the cafes are hidden^^ i had to check this lil spot out~ it looks so dainty from outside.
it's packed with so much goodies once you go in~ from the cute white interior and "cute nature" theme to it.. i likely~ having a near perfect day to enjoy the weather, we decided to ditch the seatings inside and sat down on the table outside.
(perfect view to enjoy the scene out without getting sun burned^^)

beautiful sunday weather!
for the first time this year, it was really beautiful(!) outside~~ perfect for a sunday stroll~
the walk way to the nearest subway station from home is "noksapyung"~ the weather made the walk more of a "stroll in the park"~ a very nice treat for the week.
hope everyone is enjoying the weather^^
