it has all of my favorite things.

There's a little town up in the hill of Samcheong-dong called "han-ohk-ma-eul" - beautiful korean traditional houses - cluttered tightly.

that's what I love about the cafe streets in Seoul - there's always something new and interesting.

Cafe D-55 - with the cat boss

Behold another "cat boss" of a cafe.  All the photos are of the cat.  I apologize.  As you couldn't tell already, we adore anything with cats..and when there's a "real cat" + cafe = we go gaga (not lady gaga!).

I'm not even going to bother about the drinks or food here.  Since that was the last priority we had.  Our eyes were on the cat.  Period.  This kitten (less than a year old?) baby was a curious one.  It strolled around the cafe like it was its own.

You'll be surprised how all the areas are actually quite close to each other.  Insadong, Gwanghwamoon and Samcheongdong are only blocks away from each other.  And very walkable.  Enjoyable too, even more so when the weather is perfect.

Samcheongdong's clientele(?) is a mix of all ages and status.  But I have definitely seen more "mature crowd" - late20s and above - in this area - me being one of them :) 

Thank you Samcheongdong for coming to my rescue when I was beginning to feel "out of place" in Hongdae, where mostly the youngins hang out.  At least Samcheongdong says, welcome you older self who still wants to eat waffles and ice cream and go gaga over our cute interior --- me.  Thank you!

A lot has changed in 2 years since I began my adoration for Seoul cafes.  I can't believe how much Seoul has changed.  And I have changed.

dessert time!

It's been a while since hubby and I have been out to a cafe.  We headed for some dessert to one of my newest favorite after a Korean dinner.  This cafe deserves a whole dedicated post.  But for now, this will have to do~^^

Their "waffle & ice cream (of Haagen Dazs) combo with 2 Americano coffee" is 21,000won.  Not bad for a very tasty set of yummies!  Both the coffee and waffle goodness were very very good!  My hubs loved the waffle :)  It's definitely one of the best ones here and who doesn't love a good ice cream from Haagen Dazs!
