Emart card is a joke (Shinsegae)

I gave up my "emart point card" long time ago.

We spent a good amount on it (30ks+) and received a measly 30,000won store credit.  We bought things at Shinsegae mall, Cartier, Emart...

Seriously, a big scam.


We are just giving out our information on what we're buying(..etc) for the company to better rip us off.

I gave up on those points card like I gave up on Facebook (same concept).

I shop at Emart (Shinsegae chains) without their card now.  And I always get asked if I have a point card, as if I'm missing out!  They may want you to feel like you are, but believe me, it's better not to bother with it for its measly small points. 

But I am soft on Lotte point card and other cards that actually DO rack up good points.  For now, Emart (Shinsegae) is not getting my shopping info.

Japanese Ramen - Shinsegae Mall Food Court

For a fast lunch grub, we opted for Japanese Ramen at one of the Japanese Food Stall(?) in Shinsegae Mall's food floor.. We wanted something light and fast.

However, it tastes as it looks on the photo. 

Wilted on many areas.  The soup was bland.

Noodles with no taste and overall just boring.

It didn't please my taste buds at the time.  I was looking for something deep and tasty...

until the next grub!

Migo - bakery @ Shinsegae department store

Shinsegae department store (kangnam branch) has great selections for pastry, bread, cakes, and sweets.  They have the sweetest selection for desserts.  Migo is one of the bakeries there.  They have a decent selection of small individual cakes great for dessert on the spot (take it to another coffee place around the area if u want coffee with it, no problem!) or to take home with you.  They put it away nicely for you in a cute to go box since you can't really eat it there anyway.  There are many other sweet shops on the lower floor as well where the food court is located.

Apres-Midi's macarons selection at Shinsegae Department store (Kangnam branch) located in Gosok Terminal station.  The food floor is on the bottom.

Just follow your nose, that's an easy way to put it!

Japanese lunch box - Shinsegae mall

One great thing about Korean malls are that they have a whole floor dedicated to food & grocery.  The food selection is pretty good depending on what mall you are in.  I find Shinsegae Mall to be one of the better ones.  Branches are in Myungdong and Kangnam ("Gosok-Terminal station).

i picked these up in shisegae department store~~ you know, i was just browsing around.. but i just cannot get away without buying one sweet thing from there.. that very heavenly area of pastry & desserts... ;)

oh~ and the pleasure of buying the very last box even made the purchase so much sweeter!!
