I'm not a big fan of rice cake~~ But once the weather cools down, my palette approves of it like it was my favorite thing!
I especially Enjoy the white powdered rice cake with red bean paste inside... (AKA "mochi"). It definitely goes back to my childhood when my dad would bring them home on a cold winter day. That one particular rice cake gets me all giddy and happy. Biting into the cake is a joy! There's that special texture and feeling I can't quite explain~^^

Cat tower on the street - Hongdae
One summer day this year, while strolling through Hapjeong/Hongdae area, we stumbled upon a cat tower right on the pedestrian street. I've never seen such a sight. I've seen dogs tied outside, but not 3 white cats tied to a tree/cat tower.
More than awes, I caught myself confused. At least the cats didn't seem to care and looked at peace. Although this was the last time I saw this cat tower there.
I'm definitely happy about Koreans taking a liking to cats these days. Koreans, unlike Japanese, are not as fond of cats. But a recent enlightenment of "cats are awesome" craze has finally caught on. I thank Hyori (kpop star) and those celebrities on TV who has showed how awesome they are :D

Bread & Co. - Omokgyo station
This was actually my first time for Bread & Co. in Korea. Their coffee is only 2500won for a cup of Americano. I like to make a list of coffee prices in my head to remember because frankly coffee is getting expensive here!
Nonetheless, sometimes there are days when you just gotta have a hot cup of coffee no matter how "not so good" the coffee may be. This was one of those cases. I didn't have any expectation for their coffee. Obviously, they're a bakery and not a coffee shop.
And it was just that. A cup of warm coffee. Sadly, for 2500won, you get what you pay for. Although I think 2500won could do more. But that's just me being frugal. But for the cute interior to sit and sip your coffee (or munch of baked goods), it's not so bad~ This shop is right in the underground of Omokgyo station.

the 20 of my 80/20 rule
We haven't had our normal "3 meals" since adapting to our new diet. Since having been comfortable with eating when we're hungry and not by time of the day, we've been eating at the oddest times and oddest combo of foods.
This lunch for two adults consists of an energy drink, triangle bibimbap, tuna sandwich and spicy chicken bread, and of course coffee (Americano). This was our pick up food since we've been running out of time and running an errand this particular day.
We never really have a "full meal" like we used to. But it's made our lives easier. Now, I don't have to worry about cooking "dinner" for the sake of having dinner. I just want to eat when I'm hungry. I don't feel the pressure to have a full dinner spread on the table anymore. Freedom?! Freedom from food more like.
This meal below is an exception to our Paleo diet, 20% = stuff I want to eat. Again, I never go by a definitive rule to stick to one thing 100%.. I'm never ever going to be a purist/perfectionist, that's one thing I can be sure about~^^ I just know that eating carbs when I'm really hungry is probably better compared to just over loading on them when you don't need to (like the pasta & bread combo). Yes, I give myself a lot of exceptions when I'm hungry ;)
