How to store garlic - Korean style

I buy a whole bag of peeled garlic cloves and mash them with a bit of oil (olive or grape oil) - I store this in the refrigerator and when I have enough leftover (before it starts to get "old") - I take the rest and make little "scoopables" for easy access.  I freeze them and store them in a bag.
